relieves our pain, gives mercy and strength
Isaiah
40:31 explains how when we look upon the Lord, we renew our
strength. Marcy especially likes the part about running without
being weary.
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow
weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Psalms
30:5 shows how pain is short lived.
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts
a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes
in the morning.
Psalms
23:6 shows God's promise of mercy.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of
my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
Psalms
46:10 tells us to be still.
10 "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted
among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." 11 The LORD
Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Satan
brings illness, Jesus brings life, well being, and healing
Matthew
9:20 and Luke 8:43 show how being close to Jesus without
actually touching Him can heal.
20 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve
years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. 21
She said to herself, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed."
22 Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said,
"your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that
moment
43 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for
twelve years, but no one could heal her.
James 5:13 explains what we should do when we're sick.
13 Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone
happy? Let him sing songs of praise. 14 Is any one of you sick?
He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint
him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered
in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him
up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess
your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may
be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
John
10:10 explains that destruction is from the devil, life is
from Jesus.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I
have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
2
Timothy 1:7 explains fear is not of God.
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit
of power, of love and of self-discipline.
Romans
8:11 explains He will make alive your mortal body
And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead
is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give
life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.
James
1:13-17 explains how every good gift comes from God.
13 When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me."
For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14
but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged
away and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives
birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
16 Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. 17 Every good and perfect
gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly
lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
1
John 1:5 explains God is light without darkness.
This is the message we have heard from him and declare
to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
Proverbs
10:22 explains blessings with no sorrow.
The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, and he adds no
trouble to it.
2
Corinthians 11:14 explains how the devil can come as an agel
of light, so if you think you've heard the word of God, make sure
it is in the Bible.
And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel
of light.
John
15:3 and Ephesians
5:26 explain how the Word is clean.
3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to
you.
26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water
through the word,
1
Peter 2:24 and
Isaiah
53:5 explain
how we are healed by His stripes.
24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that
we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds
you have been healed.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for
our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon
him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Our
actions demonstrate the faith that heals
2
Timothy 2:24-26 explains how if we have no quarrel with our
neighbors, we can escape evil.
24 And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he
must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. 25 Those
who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will
grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth,
26 and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap
of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.
Hosea
4:6 explains that knowledge of God will help us avoid destruction.
my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because
you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because
you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.
1
Peter 1:2-4 explains how grace and peace as well as an inheritance
that will never perish, spoil, or fade are ours in abundance with
knowledge of God and sanctifying work of the Spirit.
2 who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge
of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for
obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and
peace be yours in abundance. 3 Praise be to the God and Father of
our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth
into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from
the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil
or fade--kept in heaven for you,
Psalms
91:10-16 explains how loving the Lord will bring long life.
10 then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come
near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways; 12 they will lift you up in their
hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. 13
You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the
great lion and the serpent. 14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD,
"I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him
in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life
will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."
Proverbs
1:32-33 explains that whoever listens to God will live in safety
and ease without fear of harm.
32 For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and
the complacency of fools will destroy them; 33 but whoever listens
to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm."

Our
tongue is what guides our actions; the power of positive thinking
is Biblical! Pray your desire, not your problem.
James
3:2-4 explains how you can put faith in your heart by speaking
it from your mouth.
2 We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault
in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body
in check. 3 When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them
obey us, we can turn the whole animal. 4 Or take ships as an example.
Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they
are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go.
Proverbs
18:7 explains how you can put faith in your heart by speaking
it from your mouth.
A fool's mouth is his undoing, and his lips are a snare
to his soul.
Mark
11:23 explains how you can set law into motion and have what
you want.
"I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain,
`Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart
but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for
him.
James
1:5 explains how if you ask God, it will be given.
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives
generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to
him.
Proverbs
18:21 explains
how life and death is in the power of the tongue.
The tongue has the power of life and death, and those
who love it will eat its fruit.
Matthew
15:11 explains
how a man's spoken words can defile.
What goes into a man's mouth does not make him `unclean,'
but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him `unclean.'"
2
Corinthians 10:5 explains
how to cast out imagination against God
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself
up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought
to make it obedient to Christ.
Deuteronomy
30:11-15, 19 explains
how you can choose life, it's right here.
11 Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult
for you or beyond your reach. 12 It is not up in heaven, so that
you have to ask, "Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim
it to us so we may obey it?" 13 Nor is it beyond the sea, so that
you have to ask, "Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim
it to us so we may obey it?" 14 No, the word is very near you; it
is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it. 15 See, I
set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction.
16 For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in
his ways, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will
live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land
you are entering to possess. 17 But if your heart turns away and
you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other
gods and worship them, 18 I declare to you this day that you will
certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are
crossing the Jordan to enter and possess. 19 This day I call heaven
and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life
and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and
your children may live
Matthew
12:34-35 explains
how from a good heart comes good things.
34 You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything
good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. 35
The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him,
and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in
him.
Proverbs
16:9 explains
how the heart deviseth the way.
In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines
his steps.
James
3:6 explains
how the tongue is a fire.
The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts
of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course
of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.
James
3:10-16 explains
how you reap what you sow.
10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers,
this should not be. 11 Can both fresh water and salt [1] water flow
from the same spring? 12 My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives,
or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh
water. 13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show
it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from
wisdom. 14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in
your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15 Such "wisdom"
does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the
devil. 16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you
find disorder and every evil practice.

You
can overcome
1
John 5:4-5 explains
how you can overcome the world.
4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is
the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5 Who is
it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is
the Son of God.
1
John 4:7 explains
how if we love, we know God.
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes
from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
Mark
9:23 and Matthew
17:20 tell us that is everything is possible for those who
believe.
23 "If you can'?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible
for him who believes."
20 He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell
you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you
can say to this mountain, `Move from here to there' and it will
move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
