Sherry's dream is our vision.
Follow up:
Several months ago Sherry wrote to introduce herself and offer her professional hair styling services to Marcy.
We only took her up on her offer a couple of times - she came to our house and did a great job. But we just don’t often need a back up hair stylist.
This week Sherry wrote me asking if we need anything. She also wrote,
“I am writing because I dreamed about Marcy last night and it was one of those dreams that was so real! I can't recall how the dream started, but Marcy was HEALED in my dream.
“I came by to visit and we were walking and talking and she was beautiful and we were all so happy. It took place in a beautiful garden - I believe in your backyard - and there was a swing and Marcy and I sat and talked about the experience she had been through. You and my husband talked about the miracle that had taken place.
“I don't know anything about dreams, and have mixed feelings about sharing this with you, but in my dream God was definitely present and it was this feeling I had never felt before - as if we were surrounded by God and we were in awe of what had taken place.”
Marcy went on the ventilator over five years ago. Since that time we have had half a dozen people or so bless us by telling us of their dreams in which Marcy was healed. Each dream is encouraging.
But after I read Sherry’s note to Marcy, Marcy took the time to blink to me – one letter at a time - the miracle.
Marcy has been feeling so badly the last several weeks that the night prior to Sherry’s email, just before going to sleep, Marcy asked God for a sign that she had heard Him right when He told her eight years ago that He is going to heal her.
Then Marcy smiled broadly and blinked that Sherry brought the confirmation she requested.
We are so glad Sherry chose to listen to God and tell us about her dream.
Everyone you see today needs some sort of encouragement. Consider listening to that still, small voice inside you and speak the encouragement they need, especially if they are in special need. Your “little” message could be their big confirmation.
