Marcy's Daily Updates

Marcy felt better yesterday and went out. She was in her chair from about 1-5p and didn't need suctioning the whole time out.

We (Marcy, Darcy, Cricket, and I) went to downtown Nashville to drop off a few things at the Nashville Rescue Mission. Darcy and I were not that keen on going, but Marcy insisted - she still has such a giving heart. And she wanted a tour of the place. I was surprised and happy that we went. The place was old but very clean and the people were very, very nice. Our tour guide, Nathan Peeples, Director of Volunteers, could not have been nicer or more polished. I thought he was a college graduate, trained in social work - and maybe he is - but halfway through our tour he told us that not that long ago he was homeless and is a graduate of their program. The Nashville Rescue Mission helped him find God and a better life. There but for the grace of God.

Matt worked from 8a-4p yesterday and was leaving our house as we pulled in the driveway. He had a date with Michelle last night and asked if we would like to meet her. Of course we said yes - he said he would bring her by the house after they had dinner. 45 minutes later he texted Darcy telling her he forgot his wallet, had Michelle, and wanted to come in so we could meet. I was still trying to get Marcy back in bed, looked at her dangling in the sling on the Hoyer lift ( you may have seen the video.) Marcy's eyes were as big as saucers at the thought of a first meeting with Matt's new girlfriend(?) in this condition. I laughed and asked him to come back later. They came back about 8:30p and Michelle seems nice.

Daily Prayer for Marcy: God's continued healing manifestation. Total relief from pain and discomfort.
