Worse still

Yesterday Marcy felt worse still. Feverish and very tired. Lab preliminaries came back very quickly yesterday showing a gram negative rod bacterium growing in her sputum culture. It is unusual for the lab to come back so quickly - it usually takes longer. I think that means the bacteria is strong. And her blood shows she is almost anemic again.

Kara was here yesterday. I did some work around the house then went out to pick up juicing materials from Costco and picked up a Christmas gift Marcy wanted me to get for Darcy.

Matt went to class yesterday, ate supper with us, went to Financial Peace University, then came home to do homework.

Darcy did homework after school yesterday. She didn't have quite as much so she planned on going to a pep rally at school or to Wednesday night church but both plans fell through - her friends couldn't go.

Daily Prayer for Marcy: God's continued healing manifestation. Finances for Enercel. Total relief from pain and discomfort.

Lots of openings in December's Dinner Calendar.

A quick crash

Yesterday Marcy started feeling worse again - more feverish and very tired. We plan to re-culture her today. She asked for Benadryl last night with her sleeping pill.

Kara was here yesterday - I ran errands including the bank, Publx for Marcy's new antidepressant (Effexor,) refill propane tank for gas grill, Sprint store, GNC for Marcy's vitamins, Lowe's, Wal-Mart for oil change and a few necessities, and storage to put the tarp on the motor home.

When I called home to get Marcy's preference on a new brand of cat food, Kara said she was talking Marcy's ears off, so she wasn't sleeping. Marcy slept from about 6-8p last night then I started getting her ready for bed.

Matt went to class yesterday morning and worked until 9 last night. Darcy had so much homework after school she had to skip her Fashion Explorer meeting (she made that decision.)

Daily Prayer for Marcy: New cultures quickly show the correct new antibiotic needed. God's continued healing manifestation. Finances for Enercel. Total relief from pain and discomfort.

Lots of openings in December's Dinner Calendar.

Sleepy rainy day, changing meds

Yesterday was a casual day. Yesterday morning Marcy decided to stop antibiotics, wait a couple of days and re-culture. And she asked me to call Dr. Reid to change her antidepressant - I plan to pick the new one up today. She slept almost all afternoon. I think her suctioning was actually less yesterday and she seemed to have less fever (asked for fewer blankets on and off.) She asked for Benadryl with her sleeping pill last night.

Kara was off yesterday. I paid bills while Marcy slept and washed clothes.

Matt went to classes, had supper with us, then went out with friends until about 11. Darcy did homework after school and after supper.

Payne, Marcy Payne

We made it out yesterday. Marcy was in her chair from about 2-6p and held up well. She didn't need suctioning while we were out and her trach secretions were minimal. (I failed to mention in earlier posts that her trach secretions have increased with the increased suctionings the last several days.) She didn't say anything about feeling hot or cold while we were out but needed blankets on and off with moderate frequency after we got home. She had Benadryl with her sleeping pill last night. She woke for her 6a meds and was awake as Darcy got ready for school this morning but went back to sleep with a Valium.

We went to see the new James Bond movie. I thought it was great, Marcy liked it, too. We had planned on going to Lowe's also, but we didn't get out early enough and the movie finished late enough to make our routine run an hour late last night even without going to Lowe's. Even though it is a lot of work to go out, it was good to get out yesterday. And I think good for Marcy physically.

Both kids went to church yesterday - Darcy rode with her friend Sarah to Sunday School and church, Matt drove himself to church only. Then both did homework while we were at the movie. We all had supper together.

Matt watched "Dexter" with us. Last night's episode was great. There are only 2 episodes left this season. Matt stayed in last night.

Daily Prayer for Marcy: Rest from outing yesterday. God's continued healing manifestation. Finances for Enercel. Total relief from pain and discomfort.

Lots of openings in December's Dinner Calendar.

Maybe a little better

Yesterday was about the same as Friday. Marcy didn't say anything about chills but asked for blankets on and off - not in as quick succession. Last night she talked about going to Lowe's and a movie today. She wasn't hungry and didn't want any food last night. She asked for Benadryl with her sleeping pill last night.

Marcy slept most of yesterday. After getting her ready for the day, the kids and I went outside and put up Christmas decorations for over two hours. Matt raked leaves in the front yard and fetched and held ladders for me. Darcy placed the lower lights and did a candy cane front walk. I listened for Marcy over the monitor but she slept soundly even after we came in.

Darcy left with Molly to see the movie "Twilight" about 4:30 and was home about 8. She liked the movie a lot and had just finished the book. She said the story was about the same but the book was better.

Matt had supper with us then went out with friends until midnight.

Daily Prayer for Marcy: Strength for outing today. God's continued healing manifestation. Finances for Enercel. Total relief from pain and discomfort.

Lots of openings in December's Dinner Calendar.
