Have
you ever been to a funeral and seen that the person who died had
sides to them that you never thought about?
I've
been to funerals for co-workers and seen that they had a wonderful
family life and to family funerals to see how well respected and
loved they were at work. Everybody has lots of facets - home, work,
church, sports, associations, neighborhoods, and many more.
I've
left funerals wishing I had known more about the other sides of
the people I knew. Know what? There are lots of people still alive
that I should learn more about - and some of them are pretty close
to me.
One
of the many good things that has come out of what Marcy is going
through is that after we have shared a few things, many of our friends
have shared sides of themselves that we never knew.
Everyone
was nice before, but now it's different, deeper, more real.
Marcy
has convinced me that she is healed, and we've both read scriptures
that back us up, so I started thinking this week:
What
if everyone treated each person they come in contact with as if
they could die before they see them again?
Would
there be less arguing? Would relationships grow?
We're
doing great. We're still (by and large) on our diet.
Massages and wet cell treatments every
night continue to help in lots of ways including helping rebuild
the nerves on Marcy's right side. Marcy publicly announced her resignation
from Happy Tales at the Coats and Tails
Gala Saturday during a beautiful, fun, financially successful, emotional
evening. My Mom and Dad are coming up from Atlanta to watch the
kids as Marcy and I go the NC doctors Monday 9/25. We've invited
more people to our home in the last few and next few weeks than
in the six years we've lived in Nashville.
And
this coming week, I'm going to look each person I talk with in the
eye and ask about a side of them I don't know.
Thanks
for keeping us in your prayers. Know that you are in ours.
