A New Hope

We received an email Friday that makes us believe there's a chance
that Marcy's disease, diagnosed as ALS, may actually be Lyme's Disease.
We
were told that it is not Lyme's Disease, but since getting the email,
we have found dozens of cases of patients once diagnosed with ALS
now responding to treatment for Lyme's Disease.
Lyme's Disease is a bacteriological infection and, though treatment
can take years, it can be treated with intravenous antibiotics.
There
are not many doctors who believe in this treatment and none (that
we've found) in Tennessee. After a few days of research, we are
going to Springfield, MO next week to what Lyme patients call an
LLMD - a "Lyme Literate Medical Doctor."
Our
appointment is Tuesday 5/15. It will take 3 to 4 weeks for the test
results to come back, but if the doctor thinks there is a chance
that it is Lyme's Disease, he will could start treatment while we
are there.
There
are cases where the antibiotic helped ALS patients who tested negative
for Lyme. In any case, the treatment won't harm Marcy and may actually
help her.
We
are asking all of our friends who believe in a higher power to pray
that we hear God's will every day - especially on this trip.
Thanks.
Rob
